                               RESOLUTION NO. 20156
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR
                   ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
                   SERVICES TO ADMINISTER THE HOME INVESTMENT
                   PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE
                   UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
                   URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) IN 1994 AND TO ENTER
                   INTO ALL CONTRACTS NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT
                   SAID PROGRAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE
                   REGULATIONS OF HUD.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee has been
       allocated the sum of $1,049,000.00 for 1994 to administer the 
HOME
       Investment Partnership Program enacted under Title II of the
       Cranston-Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act;
                                NOW, THEREFORE,
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor or Administrator of the
       Department of General Services be and are hereby authorized to
       administer the HOME Investment Partnership Program funds received 

       from HUD in 1994 and to enter into contracts with Chattanooga
       Neighborhood Enterprise, Inc., the Chattanooga Community Housing
       Development Organization, Inc. and all other contracts necessary
       to carry out said Program in accordance with applicable
       regulations of HUD.
